Yesterday i finally picked up my Dakar yellow 95 M3. What an eventfull day it was picking it up. First I had to deal with the bank giving me 10k cash. Then I got rear ended on the way to pick my girlfriend up in my dads ram. Guys S10 was totalled and my bumber was dented a little. Then I get stuck in traffic outside of boston for a couple of hours. Then an F250 blows a stop sign and almost plows right into me, luckily girlfriend was looking and i turned enough to avoid him. Finally got the car and I love it. It is great, handles like a dream and accelerates almost as well. Thing kept up with a C5 vette upto 140. Almost made it home before getting a ticket. Can't complain got me for doin 84 in a 65 instead of the 100+ i was doin the whole ride from CT to Mass. I dont wanna hear how irresponsible it was, it is my first day in a new car, give me a break. All in all not a bad day. Ill post pics soon, hopefully ill get my 325is on the road soon for autocross and ill be all set. I get to make the weekend even better by going to the evo autocross school at fort devens.

Of course all that shite happened to you on the way there. Like Steve Miller said in 'Jet airliner' "You got to go through hell before you get to heaven". Congrats on the new ride.

Wingman - if you are quoting Steve Miller Band - you have just dated yourself as a contemporary of mine. And I am sure you dont want to be that old! - JT

Brandyn,

Good deal man. Have you made any progress on your MS setup on the 325?

Come now. There isn't a college kid in the States that doesn't know Mr Miller...;)

Is Dakar Yellow that one that all the old ads for that car featured?

Im at school for the week so I won't be able to get pics till probably next weekend. But everybody knows the Steve Miller Band, hell iv been to a Peter Frampton concert and im 18. Jon, I haven't had much time to work on the MS project. Hopefully next weekend when im home ill get most of the wiring finished, but i still need to send my MS off to be fixed cause i cant figure out were it is messed up

I got mine for 10k. But it was a friend of a friend that was trying to get rid of it to afford is '01 CLK 430 convertible that he got at auction. Look at spending 12-15k, maybe more, for one that is in good condition and hasn't been pounded on. Thats all I could find in the Boston area anyway.

It sounds like you have a bad luck car and need to rid yourself of it. Bring it to Wilmington,NC and I will help you out. :> I could only do this for a fellow bmw fan and would gladly shoulder your burden.
That is an awesome car and the best of luck.
