My passenger side seat height is stuck in the uppermost position. It just wont move up or down at all. I removed the seat, but its really hard to tell which motor does what or what would be causing the height adjustment to be stuck.

Is there anything to check for? Which motor controls the height?

This is a non-memory standard leather power heated seat.

Front foremost motor is rear seat height. Front is controlled by the right hand side unit, if I remember correctly (it's the one with no cables that blatantly doesn't move the seat track forwards or backwards -- the forward most unit on the track).

Check the circuit (test light or voltmeter on the motor leads), test the motor -- I've replaced various motors on my car's seats. Motors can sometimes be intermittant.

best, whit

Thank you for the help. I ending up using this to verify that the motor did in fact work:

Here is the switch taken apart:

As you can see, the switch was the issue here. Lots of melted plastic caused the height adjustment to not contact properly. After some cleaning its back together, but i havent put the seat back in the car to see if it works.

Thats right behind the toggles for your seat adjustment. Its what the things that the switches move contact.
