I went to ingolstadt yesterday to go to the Audi factory/ museum. I plan on going to the BMW, Mercedes and Porsche facilities while i am here. Anyways, there was little traffic, so i was able to keep some decent speeds.

About my average cruising speed (200kph ~124mph)

a little faster:

faster still:

top speed (~240kph, ~149mph):

As you can see, it is hard to take pictures at speed. Also, i was behind a Mercedes S-class for the last 3 pictures...

Driving on the autobahn is what convinced me to buy BMW. Over 20 years and 4 cars later I still love 'em.

i'm not sure if it is a normal thing at a (sustained) speed like that, but it would appear that you have a widdle temperature issue:D

Got to love the E34 on a fast motorway / highway / autobhan ( whatever you want to call it lol ) trip

Ive had mine at an indicated 150mph too, so prob around 140mph in real terms.

is it running too hot? the hottest i've seen it get is just past the middle, and that is only when i am pushing it. It wasn't very hot out, maybe 55F.
