Picture below shows an oil leak around some tube. What that tube is and what is its function? It has a noticeable play.
Realoem says its for crankcase ventilation, but it does not say much to me.

I had replaced the valve cover gasket about 2 months ago, and there was no leak around that area.

That is a M50TU engine.

yep thats the PCV, its a breather where the crankcase can release excess pressure into the intake. there is an O-ring in that assembly i think, try replacing part no.2 on the diagram supplied.

I have heard a faulty PCV could build lots of pressure inside and blow the valve cover gasket. My theory: After you changed Valve cover gasket, I think it is blowing the next weak link.

Experts could tell whether I am right.
