Anyone know how I can get the leather on my front seats redone? I'm having a hell of a time finding replacement seats on ebay and wanted to know if it was possible for me to just get some new leather over the old frames.

Google hasn't been much help so far, but maybe I'm just not using the right search terms.

Has anyone here had their upholstery redone before, or do you just replace the interior as it ages?

if the leather isnt cracked, you can sand and repolish the leather to make it brand new again. I will be doing this process when I return home for summer vacation.

Try calling furniture makers. Re-upholstering your seats shouldn't be any more difficult that re-upholstering a sofa, and there are lots of people that do that.

Call Creative Options ... never used them myself but on the E28 M5 Roadfly board somebody redid his front seats and posted some pics.

Price for both M5 seats was somewhere around $1200 I think.

Awesome, thanks for the info guys.

I have some leatherique for maintenance, but the driver's side seat has developed a large crack/rip. I didn't even know that furniture upholsterers could do car seats, but it makes sense.

I'll look at all the links you guys gave too. I'll post some pics when the process is finished!

ebay.uk is pretty sweet. (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-M5-FULL-LEATHER-FRONT-AND-REAR-SEATS_W0QQitemZ8050567689QQcategoryZ30172QQrdZ1QQc mdZViewItem) a lot of times they will ship to the US, just gotta ask. those have a reserve of 200gbp, so like $350? that's a hell of a deal.
