What kind of socket, ratchet, or extension combination did you use to put the torque converter to fly wheel mounting bolts back in. It is a 17mm socket but I am having a hell of a time, due to space, installing those damn bolts in. The only thing stopping my car from running down the street and being able to stop and back up, is these damn bolts. I know it is a dumb question and further shows my mechanical inexperience. I just need to know. Thanks!;)

You have to access them from the opening on the bottom of the bell housing.

Turning the flex plate(flywheel) torque converter as you go, then go back and re thighten them all again.

Make real sure everything is lined out just right or you'll go nuts getting it all together.

Swivel 19 or 17, forget which it is at the moment, but erring on 19, a short extension, and a 1/2" impact gun.

Be sure the holes are lined up, first -- done by carefully rotating the crank (clockwise, always).

best, whit

Appreciate it. I'll give that a go.

I used a "breaker bar" with 17 mm deep wall socket. Seems to be the only thing that fits in there.
