My dash just started messing up. 1989 535i 214,000miles auto. Speedo bounces, no fuel gauge response, when lights are on, the odometer, and trip flicker, and when adjusting the dimmer switch the speedo bounces, and did I mention no more cluster lights at night. All worked 3 days ago off and on. What is the difference between the white, and the blue casing, besides the color? The prduction Date?
Any help would be great.

I think you guys in the States call it Radio Shack. Whatever you call it just from an electronics store. Welcome to the 'joys' of early E34 dashboards:D

When I did this back on 6/28/01:

Qty 2 Cat. 90-1836 22M 50V high temp
Qty 3 Cat. 90-1797 220M 16V high temp

Cost $0.68 + Shipping $7.50 + Tax $0.04 = $8.22

lol

You know, I totally forgot about Radioshack. We used to have a co. Here called Silicon valley. They had everything anybody needed to repair electronics, and build boards from scratch. After the initial repair Scott, have you had anymore problems with your cluster?

I'll give that a shot, and it sucks you had to put her down.
