put that in the middle of a quarter mile and set up a video camera, worth a ton of laughs!

Here in Philly, by 61st street, a very popular street racing street, they cut out a piece of the roadway the entire width of the street and about 4" down...

a lexus broke a rim clear from the spokes, and a GTI smashed its oil pan.

I would sue.

There were signs indicating uneven road surface... but they were doing 90+ and obviously didn't see it. No ability to sue under those circumstances.

In those circumstances the driver would be entirely at fault, i agree. What you described sounded as if it would be potentially dangerous even at the speed limit. Getting their car wrecked because of an uneven road wont make them want to stop street racing, getting caught by the cops and staying a night in jail along with hefty fines/community service just might.

Thats like shooting a child molester in the leg and letting him get away to do more harm, rather than capturing him and charging him for his crimes and stuffing him away for life. We have a justice system in this country for a reason. While it may not be perfect, its the best thing we've got.

What a bunch of losers in that Topspeed board!. You read to postings there ?.

Every driver knows the consequence of speed. Unless its the kind that he snorts rather than drives....
