schrapnel do any damage?I've heard of clutches exploding and take out people's legs like a cirucular saw coming through the floorpan, one hopes a shaft would not send parts into your ass, but anything could happen if it all starts flapping around under load- that looks like a lucky result... I must say, the 2-peice driveshaft might be good, but it sure seems finickity, I wonder how the Germans go with them, esp. Shogun's mates with those twin turbo 750s hauling 2000kg... :) Nick

It also depends on how big the tyres are and how grippy the clutch is....... if you are wheel spinning you aren't transferring all the torque through the driveline, likewise if the clutch is slipping. I wouldn't mind seeing more pictures, i am trying to work out whether fatigue or shock loading was the cluprit :p

I think he was running a UUC variant of clutch, and was on full slicks with anti-lag. I didn't read the article in fulle. He also broke teeth off the gearing int he differential:
