5 speed 325e

going to look at, and test drive a 88 325e 5 speed. Anything to check in particular? Also how is the engine, is that the m20?
Whats the dif between the 325e and the 325i?

325e sports alot more low end torque, and better gas mileage, the 325i is alot quicker in the long run... However if you take the top of the i, and put it on the e block, you get a great stroker like mine....

the 325e is a 2.7 liter with a slightly lower redline, somthing like 1k lower. e was the origional, from like 84 to 87, and from 86 to 87 you could choose between the two. 325i is the 2.5 with the higher redline, you want the i, not the e, also you want a 89-90 due to hotter bumpers, unless you wanna be 80's cool.
