By the way, I got to ride in a 2005 545 yesterday. WOW. That thing moves!
I absolutely loved it.

VW always has great commercials. There are several unpimp your ride versions. My favorite one is where the focus gets smashed with a container containing a gti :D

Does anyone remember the old GTI commercials ? remake of the old GTO song by Ronnie and the Daytonas ? Being sung in German?

I absolutely loved it. MichaelLove the vids. Some of the best advertising I've seen for a while. They want to differntiate the GTi from the ricer brigade and it does it with lashings of style, in an appropriately Deuctshe way- its cheekily geeky which the more upwardly mobile target market will love, otherwise it will not succeed in stopping them going to WRX or some of the other Tokyo terrors. Sitting in a new Golf is so much nicer, I can't imagine going even for anything less, so I guess that is what they want em to do.. :) Nick
