Hi
Im having trouble with my electric window.. i have a bmw 318is coupe 1998. its the driver side window. (right side).
The window just packed up one day, the passenger sie window works ok but driver side window wont go up or down, it wont even lift slightly up into the seal as you open and shut the door. it wont move at all, if you press the electric window button either way you can hera a "ticking" noise, which sounds like the relay.
I dont know what else to try, is this gauranteed to be the motor ?
If it is... how do i remove the motor from the door ?
Ive unplugged the 2 plugs but now what do i do ? i cant see a way of getting it off.
is there anything else i could try before i go to all the effort of getting the motor off. (and then to find out its not the motor which is at fault)
