I found this kit on E-Bay, I'm assuming its not at all good quality, but do the later models have wood on some of these locations..
eg- the sunroof switch panel

Also, if you were to look at the colors here, which would you reccoment for a grey interior, silver car?

I think any of the wood finish ones would look good.

I was thinking Zebrano or Oxford Burlwood... But I'm afraid the Zebrano will be cut so the grains of the "wood" aren't really in any sort of alignment. across my dash.

I wonder if I could find a way to put them on my glove box and under my steering column also, because I have the older e34 without the indentations in the dash, so I will only be able to order specific parts, or buy the kit and leave stuff off until I figure that out...

you should be able to change them parts out from a later car with the same color interior, looks like 3 pieces, glovebox, part under steering wheel and the little piece next to the radio.

Aha! Good idea, thanks! Anybody know anybody else parting out a grey interior car? :-D
Spring/Summer is going to be my car-rejuv time. I have also been looking into paint chip repair and leather chair treatment, the person I bought it from had no idea how to treat their car.... Tear :-(

Does anybody else have garage dents on a straight line on the side of their door? rofl...

Also, how do you get the panels off, particularly the sunroof switch panel?

Some of those aftermarket kits put wood in places BMW never did, and IMHO they go overboard. I would put wood only in the "BMW-approved" locations. :)

I was gonna photoshop some pictures of my car to get a general idea of what it will look like... Good idea though, I might not even get that far, especially if I have to wait for some new dash parts.

Might be just me but on the sunroof switch panel??? There's a fine line between tasteful and tacky. I've got an original BMW accessories catalogue from 1996 and even some of the pics in there are way over the top. I think the factory wood panelling in later E34s looks great.
