Rear defroster acting wierd

The rear defroster on my 95' doesn't work at all, but the light on the button comes off and it's little timer still works, too. (it goes off after x amount of minutes)

I can't even get one line to defrost, though - and it's VERY frustrating. I figure since tha tbutton is on, theres no fuse problem. Does any body have any ideas on what to check?

Mine does the same thing. It hasn't been a problem (yet), but I will be fixing it soon.

Check that there are no breaks in the material in the window. If there is a break, you can buy a repair kit at Auto Zone.

I am not sure, but I think there is also a check for chafed wire in the C pillar, behind the cover. You'd have to remove the cover, but it is not too difficult.

Perhaps also look for chafed wiring around the hinge in the trunk.

Did you check the fuse and relay under the rear seat?
