I thought I would provide my experience with the Quaker State Multi-Vehicle (QSMV) ATF in the 5HP30 tranny after a couple weeks. The best way to describe this would be on a scale of 1 to 10 with 5 equal to the OEM fluid (Esso, Shell) quality shifts. I've noticed the QSMV ATF to have better shift quality in the cold morning hours but not as smooth as the Redline D4 ATF. I'd give the QSMV ATF a 7 for cold morning shift quality and the Redline D4 ATF a 9. On the way home from work, its the same rating as I'm noticing better shift quality than the OEM fluid but no where near as buttery as the Redline D4 ATF. When I first changed over to the Redline D4 ATF about five months ago, there were times when it was downshifting that I couldn't even feel the transition. With the QSMV ATF, I can feel the downshifts but they still feel better than the OEM fluid shifts (could've been a dirty filter with the OEM fluid though). Anyways, everything is working fine so far.
