Found this on a local website :
The VBMW Project (http://www.vwquebec.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?p=45557#45557)

It's in French, mostly, but the pics say it all. The technical gurus here might make more sense of them than I can, cause I didn't bother to read all of it.

I'm personnaly concerned about the frame's integrity, but I'm no specialist.

He's got e30 parts going in, but I don't know which engine he's going to put in exactly.

He's just ripping that Golf apart !

What can you say....

Converting a front wheel drive to a Rear wheel drive.

It would have been a hell of a lot easier to just drop in a V6 from a newer VW.

But that's the French for ya....

borderline retarted, he would have encountered thousands of less man hours supposing he just used that beat to **** e30, but damnit i admire the effort here, incredible!

why??? I ran a golf and that damn thing kept up all the way till i backed down, over 125mph. Kids seemed nuts so I backed off as a cop was gaining on us. Saw the fellow about a mile up the highway, I beeped a couple times.

Thats definitely not an S14, I'm 99.9999% positive it's an S50.

It'll be a buzzy sumbitch when done - no motor mounts or compliance in the rear subframe mount. With such a light body he could afford to use the OE subframe bushes and would benefit from some sort of racing engine mount to at least de-couple the drivetrain from the body. IMO of course...

Q: How many Frenchmen does it take to defend Paris?
A: Nobody knows, it's never been tried.

Q: Why don't they have fireworks at Euro Disney?
A. Because every time they shoot them off, the French try to surrender.

Sorry to break your fun... but he is a French Canadian from Quebec, so technically not a Frenchman. Our Canadian friends will have to chime in on what those secessionist Quebeckers are thought of there.
