View Full Version : Should the lock/unlock trigger wires always have current ?

I check what I think is the correct locl/unlock wires with a test light and it looked like they had 12v + already. Should this be the case ? How does the 12v+ pulse unlock/lock a door if there is already current in the circuit ?

ground for the circuit, when you use your test light your providing a ground so it shows up as powered but in the door lock circuit its not grounded until you trigger it.

So if I bypass the test light and run a fresh 12v hit to the active line -it should cycle the locks ?
