Radio change

i am thinking of replacing the radio in my 95 530ia. My desire is better reception, cleaner sound and enhanced seperation. I don't care about big vibrating bass units. I am wondering if updating to a good quality aftermarket unit will reward me. Or will I have to replace the speakers as well

An upgraded head unit will improve things a lot, even without changing speakers or anything else.
