OK, here's a challenge for you all

There's a special prize for whoever has the answer..

Intermittently when I start my '95 E36 the emergency flashers flash (or both turn signals at the same time), BUT I check the flasher button and it's not pushed it. I know because the flasher icon in the middle of the button is not lit up. I have to push the flasher button in and then push it again to make it come back out and then the flasher stop.

Yeap its the switch! also try contact cleaner & if your really handy whith small items take the switch apart careful with not to breake the clips in the sides & clean any corrsion on the internal contacts or
buy a new one
