Low heat coming out floor vents..ideas ?

Feet were freezing today on the way to work. I pulled the glove box out and looked at all the cables. They are moving ok. Seems like I am getting more flow out the passenger side - as opposed to the drivers side. Any ideas on what to check/look for ? Airflow is good out the rest of the vents. Heater core was done about three years ago.

Clean and check the temperature sensor on that side. Maybe the sensor is dirty and therefore the stepper motors are in a different position.

Is that the piece that plugs into the trim panel ?

maybe that would explain it, clogged heatercore.
