Differences in auto transmissions for 525's

I have a 93 touring that after 235,000 miles is starting to give me hints that a new transmission is on the horizon. I can get my hands on a low mileage transmission from a 94 525. Looking at the ETM my touring has an A4S 310R MJ (or RG). The 94 is listed as having A5S 310R. Any chance this would work?

I couldn't find a A5S 310R. However, I found a A5S 310Z and that one's for a 530i. If that's the correct part number, the engines are different. So I doubt they're interchangeable. Realoem doesn't show them to be interchangeable either. They also look different length wise.
