Ive been hearing a slight rattling from the lower end of my M60 lately. I finally decided it was either rod bearings or oil pump. I tore the oil pan off after work tonight and found the nut holding the oil pump sprocket was sitting in the bottom of the oil pan. 6 bolts were hand tight on the oil pump assembly itself. Removed the oil pump and locktighted everything. M60 guys, check your oil pump bolts when you have a chance, it is well worth the time. My car got an alusil block about a year ago with the previous owner, I was sure these new blocks included new oil pumps but apparently not. It was obvious this pump was from the engine before. All is well now tho and shes nice and quiet. Sorry for te long post.

PS, will anybody be willing to help me post some pics of my ride? Thanks in advance guys.
