Hey all,

I have a quick question. Can the front lip under the air dam be replaced or is an entire new spoiler the only option? I stole and edited a picture posted by Don McAdams (I don't have a digital camera) that shows which part I'm referring to.

The lip split in half under the drivers foglight, there is some damage to the airdam but that can be repaired, the lip may be repairable but I'd like to see if it can be replaced.

Thanks in advance,

Patrick

You might wanna try Bruno's 540i brake duct upgrade if the split is just under the foglamp since the procedure calls for cutting this section out of the lip.

as for that lip, no... its plastic one piece with the lower bumper. However... you could find a used bumper...x-acto that section off and plastic weld it onto the other car.... but... new bumper comes to mind.

Didn't get the answer I wanted to hear but your suggestions were great. Thanks again

Patrick that piece is part of the bumper.. it is all one piece... the center airdam below the license plate is removeable and can be replaced with a new one

yep that's part of the bumper, theres plastic welding kits and epoxy that can repair most cracks, or the 540 ducts are another option, heres what i did on mine, i atached the ducts to the bottom of the bumper and added a filler piece between them from a old bumper instead of cutting them in
