Some of you may remember my puzzled posts about the strength of my heater blower. I decided to take the fan out to see what i could see, whether it was a broken fan or stuff clogging it up. It turned out to be the latter (luckily). After much vacuming and probing with a screwdriver, i managed to clean out the massive display of rodent architecture. Luckily (again), there were no little mice bodys or other surprises waiting for me at the bottom of the mess. After scrubbing and disinfecting with simple green, i put it back together with the help of my brother. What a difference! Now the blower is actually functional, i dont see how it even worked at all before.

Here is an artistic rendition of the nest (cross section).

Yes, there is a very good chance you will find what i did :s Part of the reason mine happened is because the car was garaged for 6 months to a year before i bought it. Mine didnt have a bad smell because the little critters who made the nest were evidently just complete with their nest when the vehicle was moved without them. I hope yours is the same way.

BTW, is that sand in your engine compartment?
