does anyone have the link for the VIN decoder that would show me my exact tranny? GF65231 (last seven)

Start up after non complete stop, or decel and then accel brings a pretty defined clunk.

Had tranny level checked today and the way the fluid jumped out of it at my indy (he) tells me that it wasn't short on fluid. btw, what is my fluid again if it is I believe the hp18 in the 3.0v8?

We have one reputable guy in Austin at an AMMCO shop that I am considering paying for a diagnosis, but I am wondering if I should just call Kurt for a replacement valve body? Anyone think it's going to be more than that? Total rebuild?

ugh, todays a day I think about trading in for a Honda Ridgeline

it shows A5S 310Z tranny and M60B30 engine and 9/92 production date

also if you run the VIN in realoem it should show properly like this:

ZF 5hp-18 trans. sounds like your guibo is worn. go under and have a peek at it.

Thanks Scott!
Picking up mouldings today...then paint and install and the rubber ones are yours

Wouldn't a worn guibo make a cardboard rubbing sound? This sounds/feels internal to me.

Are you positive I have the hp18 and not what scott came up with, or are these the same tranny's with different names?
