My exhaust started resonating sometimes. Kind of some vibration, not often.
I looked at my exhaust and it seems like I am missing one of the rubber rings, on which the exhaust hangs on.

Number 13. I think I only need the right side.

What if I put in another rubber instead of the original? Is there anything special to it?

those are sorta unique and don't really have anything else that takes their place, they are reinforced with a nylon band and are not just a rubber doughnut

They're cheap. Why mess around trying to cook up some kind of second rate substitute.

A generic hanger from your muffler shop would probably work, but if it were me i would opt for the higher quality/better engineered bmw product that was made for the car. If you order one online, it might be a good idea to pick up a generic ring from a muffler shop to temporarily hold the exhaust in place until your shipment arrives.

I got the original (or at least similar). Yeah, they are cheap! :) Frankly I was surprised that they cost a little more than a dollar a piece.
