Could someone please post a picture of the left side of their trunk where the jack fits (with the carpet section out and the jack in place)?

What is the reason you want a pic of that? Are you having a hard time getting it back it? I ask because we had trouble getting the jack back in our former 525 until I finally figured it out. It was a duh experience.

I think i know how it is supposed to go in, but i have come to suspect that something is missing that holds it in place.

Held in place by wing nut on left and bracket on right.

ahhh, i think it all might make sense now. The wingnut was missing but i am sure there is one laying around in our garage.
