I ask as if these prices are to be believed then we should rush the place and buy up big.

http://www.replacementbmparts.com

Select 1994 as the year,

Select 540i as model

Select suspension from the list on the left hand side of the page.

And I get Upper control arms without bushes for $10.79 ea?!?!?!
Upper Control Arms With Bushes for $30.64!?!?!

This couldn't possibly be correct, if it is they are of dubious quality.

What I would like to ask is if someone could verify that these prices are in fact correct, if so I will order some.

Is it possible that someone could make a call to check I'm sure we could all benefit from this if it is in fact true.

Well it's strange they have no other suspension components except for the upper control arms. The same applies to my '90 535i (same arms). Maybe they only lists parts they have extra special buy prices on? For $10.79 they must either be stolen, s/h, or made from bamboo! Of course you could ring them first and make sure they actually have stock at those prices.

I would ring but I am in Oz, is it possible that someone in the States could just check on this please? I know 1800 numbers can be expensive, but the overall savings could be huge!!

1-800 no's are free in to call in usa. Owner of the number pays the fees.

There are a few URLs that have been online fro some years with this (limited) range of stuff. Mainly they specialise in crash repair stuff, cheap panels and so on, $111 for a hood, $50 for a fender, all the front collision parts and so on. I think the quality will be sometimes acceptable, but generally as bad as you'll find in the market anywhere, unless it is a con (I doubt it).

I love this (http://www.replacementbmparts.com/cgi-bin/autoshopper/index.html?cat=44&year=1992&make=BMW&model=535I#) though; a wing-door conversion kit for e34??? :)

[ Upper control arms without bushes for $10.79 ea?!?!?!

I called, these prices are correct. HOWEVER, when I asked who makes these parts, the woman on the phone didn't know. BUT, she said they were MADE IN TAIWAN!!!

So, if you don't mind 'MADE IN TAIWAN' parts, then go for it!

However, if you prefer OE Lemforder control arms with Boge 750i bushings, then you pay for what you get and go to BMA parts!

Note, for those in the SF Bay Area, Double O2 Salvage advertises lemforder control arms with boge 750i bushings for $130 each, and they will install it!
