listing a new thread in case someone searches for this (seemingly) unique problem

so i found the solution.. after re-soldering pretty much the whole board i had a look at the relay.. which i found to be melted at the base where the circuit is made, recessing it and making the relay unable to create a contact point simply because there was no physical contact point available.

simple solution involved bending the contact panel that the magnet acts upon to shorten the distance to complete the circuit.. and volia.. it works

Is that similar to the fix on www.e32fixes.com additional LKM-fix? There are also pics.

It is the one with the power contacts connected to pins 33, 34, and 35 on the LKM X12 connector. It can be used as a spare to replace damaged relays on aplications in which it is found to be not used.
