Transmission Oil Change

I have a 95 525 e34
Is it true that the transimssions dont ever change there oil ?
I cant find a dipstick ... went to jiffy lube and they said only the dealer can change it ?
they also said that for the differencial fluid
what do i do if i dont want to cough up the big buck ?

It is not lifetime fluid... you have to change it. Check with bmwe34.net to find out how to do it. It is not terribly difficult.

I have the same car. It actually is suppose to be lifetime fluid. But no fluid lasts forever if you ask me. I change mine every 50K. I take it here in Toronto to a local shop that does it for me. I also get the differential fluid done as well at the same time. I have a 186000kms on my car and my tranny is still running strong.
