rear diff on '95 540i 6 spd

hi all.
Korman Autoworks told me stock diff is 2.91? i read on this site that for '95 540i m-sport it was 3.15

Can someone help me verify?

Korman suggested 3.25 upgrade and also said 3.64 is available but maybe too much of a change.

i know '95 M5s can be at 3.91 and has the same 6 spd tranny.

Therefore, would 3.64 be ok?

i imagine good performance gains. here.

i know steve with his nice white 540i auto has 3.64 :)

my 530 came with a 3:15, I thought a 3:64 would be too big but its actually fine, 3500rpms @ 100mph. I get better mileage in the city too, no mileage change on the highway.

He fixed me up with a 3.46 diff with a Quaiffe ATS for my '94 540iA.
It really woke the car up. I'm planning a six-speed transplant soon.
