oil pressure problem!!!

1994 530i e34 m60 engin 330,00kilometers with a oil pressure drop only at
warm up hot running. My pressure test was bad 4psi at idle and 40 psi at
4000rpm.any tips were to buy new pump cheap or ideas on specific solution
from experiences!!!!

the M-60s are notorious for the bolts backing out of the pump. #40 a 4k rpms isnt bad at all hot but #4 is on the low side for an idle.

Check the pump bolts first, if they are tight then go the new pump route and check pressure again.
