The Shield kicks so much ass. I am also excited for 24. A couple of my friends have raging boners for it, so I started following it and got hooked, although not to their level...

tonight, new sheild, the promos have been fantastic, im pumped

when i was 18 or 19, and the show first came on, i thought it was trash. i thought to my self, self, the police can't possibly be this bad in the real world. a year or two later, and some livin' in the real world, and its been appointment TV for me ever since. my boss knows that i won't ever ask to work on a day when a first run episode is on. i liked the episodes with glenn close last season, people thought that not enough "happened" or that there was a lack of drama in the storylines. i thought they were great. its a show, with ugly people (acne scarred captain, homely looking black lady), ugly scenery, and (actual) acknowledgement that everything in the real world doesn't end tidily. they've been playing the damn promos too much, though. it would seem that every time i turn the tee vee on, i hear the "i'm a bad man, i'm a bad man ....&c. " of the season premiere commercials.
