The one and only BMW with a Lamboghini build chassis. That M88 engine is wicked as it is, SCed or turboed, this is collector's item.

Easy on that chin. Its too cheesy for that era. Rims fits the image.

Wow. Never seen an M1 in the metal myself.

A Z1, though... :)

what do you think of the paint on this white one? and why does it say 2000 M1? i posted some photos in late 04 of a bone stock M1 with 3K miles... black cloth interior and 5 speed gearbox. I find it interesting in a nostalgic way but that's about it

The color? Nice for a museum piece, nasty for the road, IMHO.

The year's probably just a typo put there by a secretary.

By today's standards, the M1 isn't really terribly fast, is it? Sure, a supercar in its day, but a modern 330Ci will probably run circles around it. Still pretty sweet, though.

Low 6 second 0-60 and 14 sec 1/4mile. It's about as fast as a E34 m5. The 330 wouldnt exactly run circles around it ... especially not that one with forced induction. :)

Regardless of how slow or fast it is, I'd give my left testicle for one.

I find it interesting in a nostalgic way but that's about i**** pretty slick, better than a Porsche as it has historical significance- esp if its is some special 2000 build??? This I can't believe- if it is, then the Turbo/SC is factory surely- all the details of which would be nice to have, imagine if it was all on realoem.... :D just a thought for my fellow M30 phreaks...

I don't thing that one is supercharged. I think its an error in the listing. I don't think its been on the road in a long time. Wonder why old man Erhard is selling it. Sent an email to the parts manager over at the dealer - will see what the story is.

I have seen that car many times. Those actually were not metal - but they are fiberglass.
