theres no way youll get 300bhp without NitroMethane and it probably wouldnt be quite dependable.

I know that car taxes based on engine displacment and other factors make the v-8 powered E34 less attractive, but with what you are proposing you can buy a lot of petrol and pay alot of tax. Seriously, after you get the engine power up from your little four cylinder, you will have to think about clutch, tranny etc. My two pence worth of advice, buy a 540 6 speed, thay must be cheap in the UK considering your petrol cost, the whole car was engineered by BMW for 300 hp.

I can sell you a little dial that goes on your dash; you just turn it to how much horsepower you want! Only 39.99, pounds that is. Delivered to your door. Your wife will love you. You'll love your car.

No joke, it works. I have a buddy with a skyline. Now he does the 1/4 in 10.

hmm..... is that so... i find that odd... and not believable.. heheh

and yeah.. the e34 is a six cylinder... the smallest six in europe... (not forgetting mitsubishis 1.6 v6)
and besides... the nicasil linings in the 540s would have all but corroded by now... our fuel quality is .. sob.... not as good as mainland europes...

and that 5k... was an error... supposed to be 2k..... found a supplier for a ex-japan e39 2.2..... 500 pounds.. a real deal if i may add.... 6 speed getrag m5 gear box with clutch assembly.... 200 pounds.... i know the breaker personally... work man ship and twinturbos with chipping.... 1k pounds... suppose that leaves me with 300 pounds for the b'kit

has to be at least some deent alusil replacement engines, all tho you would need to do extensive changes to the car including the brake booster move.

best to get a doner car and swap vs just trying to make shift a change over.

Hey NAT 9566. I have the same car as you (also in UK). To be realistic you would have been better buying a good 535 sport and modifying/boring out the M30 engine. Turbo's etc are a possible & proven addition. You can still add a 6 speed box if desired, plus you get the sport suspension & LSD built in, unlike the 520 which has no sporting additions.

Cheers,

Shaun
