locking problem

when trying to unlock the drivers door, all the doors unlock for half second and then lock again except the drivers door which remains unlock. whats going on?

When this happens on my E28 I lock/unlock the car from all three locks...that is trunk and both front doors. It seems to align/reset/exercise the microswitches at each lock.

I have a 90 525i with locking problems as well. I can no longer lock at all (key won't turn) from the drivers side. I have to lock the car from the passenger's side or trunk. Did replacing the microswitch fix your problem?
