Need to find a 3.46-3.64 LCD for the 5-speed tranny conversion. The stock 4.10 will not cut it. What other models diff. fits the e34 525i? e32?e31?

anyone?

Sorry I edited my post. When I purchased my diff from Car-parts dot com I picked locking and it came up with about 15 results. Good place to search for parts

How do you like the 3.64? Is your rpm's up there when on the highway?

Are you kidding? You got a 3.2L conversion and don't know which diff fits or even which ratio you should be putting in? Ahem....do a search!!!

Now I will still help and guide you. All the small e34/e32 diffs fit, that means everything besides: M5, 4.0 V8, and V12 models. The ratio you should be getting is the maximum 3.46 with all available e34/e36 6cyl M50 engine block based manual 5 spd trannies. Anything higher numerically means that you will be shifting too often and an extra shift to 60mph is needed. Try to find a gearing calculator. The 3.46LS diffs are good from the 535i. There are more of the 3.46LS diffs around than 3.23 LS diffs that I have found. You WILL have to change the input flange as the 535i and 525i ones do not match. Do a search on how to swap correctly...ahem Bruno's site is a good place to start.
