View Full Version : Colleague at work butchers a BMW

One of my colleagues at work - South African so he knows no better - bought a perfectly servicable 1602 on Ebay for £900.

He then proceeded to "improve" it with the following mods:

Ford Cortina 2.3 V6 engine with the original 3 speed slush box :p .

One piece prop shaft.

3.45 diff.

BBS alloys (the only mod I thought worth fitting).

The cost of these mods was £2500.

So, he now has a BMW/Ford costing £3400 that doesn't start, probable value £300!

There is a photo attached - I shopped out the number plate as I feel sorry for him.

Well, at least its got a racing stripe and 'baloon' tires.

The first BMW I ever drove was a 1600.

MMm a 2.3 ford v6 that has like 120bhp if hes lucky with a 3 speed auto...

That must be slower than a week in jail.

Robbo,Dont condemn the South African too quickly here mate,we have poms in S.A. that just cannot make it back home....but they work here,not hanging onto the dole..

He's a S.A. and a mate, but he don't seem to know squat about Bimmers...;)
