I do not have this program yet but was looking at acquiring it someday. How do you like it?

My neighbor has always had Volvos, for the last 15 years. If you were going to buy a used Volvo, say in the 90-94 model year range, which one would you choose? Why? Are there ones like certain BMW's to avoid? We're talking sedan type.

Volvo ever made. Feels much bigger and more comfortable than the 240's and its rear wheel drive with a bulletproof motor and turbo. Mileage and power and reliability... Only thing bad about it is the crappy front and rear main seals and the cheesy door panels that break, head liners that fall down just like bmw. A number of little details , mostly minor things... My least favorite volvo's are the newer front wheel drive ones.. I'm sure that Winfred can chime in about the problems that plague 850's besides the evaporator core from hell... But i'd have a good 740 turbo in a second.. love the seats, Great A/C even in arizona..

You should get a 740 turbo if you consider a used volvo. Probably the best one they've ever made...

We've had a couple 740s which are known as the Swedish Buick. Good cars but absolutely worthless in the snow. My daughter took out a telephone pole with what was a beautiful 1990 740 & walked away unhurt. Wiped out the front of the car but the rest held up well. If anyone needs 740 parts I have lots I would love to get rid of.

i will never bitch about a 850 or 960 again after working on the oh so wonderful 2000 s40 today that we sold last week, i think it's the first pure design from ford and boy does it ****ing suck, i think the mazda it's based on may be a decent car.
850s are not too bad but tend to piss oil all over themselves and it's not as cheep and easy to make them stop leaking as the older cars were, i find them to be about used up at 200k miles, the 960 is the same motor with a extra hole both go boom when the rubber band snaps, i think the 940 is just about the best car volvo made with the 91-93 240s a second, the 940 is a evolution of the 740 which can be ok but had it's share of fixable problems, id say the perfect 940 would be a 94 turbo 95 was the last year and a lot of them were stripped some turbos didn't even have boost gauges or badges plus they had drl's i hate drl's if i want the damn lights on ill turn them on, it'd be less annoying if they came on with the motor so you could listen to the radio without running the lights. the 91 and up 240s were the best because they for the first time since they started building them in 1975 had a decent ac and engine wiring that didn't disolve on contact with air, if you want a good cheep car to stack a ton of highway miles on get a 91 and up 240 and install the tranny from a 89 and up non turbo 740-940, the lock up torque converter tranny makes a auto 240 about perfect and it's a direct swap (grand parents got 35 mpg or better with the 91 240 i built for them)
