AS i was going along my way, a deer on the road forced me into the ditch, luckily the ditch was covered by about a foot of snow, i blasted trough a wall of shoveled snow and then into the flat stuff. i was stuck and i saw pieces of my fron spoiler laing around :( Using my little foldable army type shovel, i dug a trench to the front of the car to inspect the damage and clear out the wheels. I was definatly stuck as only half the car had real ground under it. I called one of the guys from the fire dept who came and pulled me out (our towhooks on the backbumper rock btw) so now im left with a broken front spoiler which is part of the front bumper, fogs are fine and hanging in, and even though i had a lot of snow up the engine, no damage was found to the fan or pulleys. my rims were filled with snow, as i drove away i had the baddest shimmey ever, till a huge piece of snow fley out and then that got much better.

Anything else i should check out?

I need bumper, preferable alpina white III

Thanks

That sucks. Glad it wasn't worse. I have seen some pretty nasty pictures on this board of e34s following a close encounter with a deer. No pictures of Stefanie with a busted lip?

I believe the spoiler is a seperate item.

Here are some pictures , sorry for the low quality, i just had my phone with me. Also, the picture on the next reply shows the car with the bumper/spoiler removed, it appears as if the spoiler is seperate, but infact it is all one piece (on my '95 525 atleast)

Maybe this will be the year that you get a lump of coal in your stocking.

As you can see, the lower bumper cover is spared the direct hit..:) This 120 pound doe flew through the air about 55' when she shot off the hood of my car doing about 65 mph. This doesn't look that bad, but when you start replacing the condenser, radiator, etc, etc, it adds up in a hurry. Just shy of $7k in damage.

Maybe you can find a used bumper cover in the right color on www.car-parts.com

Good luck with your repair.

you can have mine if you pay for shipping. I may even have a box from the M5 bumper that replaced it.

As you can also see in the sig pic the rest of the bumper is fine. I'm sure you can get the cover sanded and painted for about $150. I probably would have saved the bumper myself were it not that a) I had already bought the M5 bumps, and b) the chick who caused the accident was paying for all the repair.

You are going to have to decide where the delta is between new and refurbished, but I'll give you this one if you want it. If I have seen hardware store aerosol paint setups where if you had the bmw paint, you could do it yourself for less than $50...

It's at the shop now, and I'll ask to have a box saved for it. lemme know

That is the best deal you are going to find period! If you paid the shipping for the bumper cover, probably less that $50, and paid a shop to sand and shoot it with the correct urethane and clear with hardner it would be like a new one at a fraction of the cost. I agree with 530Touring about the cost of a sand and paint, should be around $150. You better jump on this deal. The stock used replacement is going to cost you at least $300 and $800 for an M-Tech, then add the paint cost....sounds like a great offer to me.

if you opt to purchase online, you might want to check carpartswholesale.com, i bought some Bmw parts (http://www.carpartswholesale.com/cpw/bmw-car-parts.html) from them, they offered me a great deal on almost all parts.
