Hi Guys,
My father in law's lovely 1991 2 ltr e34 has succumbed to a crack in the head - very sad news :-(. However we have bought a replacement head to fit early next week :-), already skimmed with new valves fitted too! We had look at the new head and noticed the temperature sensor is a combined unit, rather than the separate brown and blue ones in the original head. Has anyone here had any experience of this? Is there a simple "workaround" to make sure the DME and dash temp guage work properly?

Thanks in advance,

Shaun

in the us the single sensor cars were 96 and newer, id drill and tap for the 2nd sensor otherwise it should be fine just use your cams if it's a vanos head and your car is non vanos, the cover on the front of a non vanos head bolts right up inplace of the vanos unit
