So after tightening all the P/S hoses and replacing all the clamps with adjustable ones, everything looks good. That is... except the engine bay. It's covered with grime and P/S fluid. What to use to clean it all out without eating the hoses and such?

Simple green and water. No pressure washer... soak the area in SG and let it sit. Hose it out.

Also use simple green.
Or what I also use a lot is kerosene, which is used here for the gas stoves/heaters.
Very good for cleaning. Cleaned all my intakes. throttle valves, engine room parts with kerosene and then used simple green and a little bit water or a dry cloth.
Diesel fuel is also good for washing and not as dangerous as normal gas.
But it smells like the hell and especially at your hands + clothes.

i stick a hose in the tank, take out about 1 liter and there you go, cheap cleaning+nasty smelling hands :)
