Mine is under a pile of snow outside, and it's too cold to take pics. I found out yesterday that P6000s are summer tires only, damn things are like ice skates. Good thing we have a 4Runner too.

Some might remember this one.

No snow in it, but my OBC was recording a pretty low temp for an entire trip across the great white north.

Damn Dave, and I thought the 10 F or so we've had the last few days was cold. Where was that, Canada I assume?

At that moment, I believe we were west of Banff Alberta crossing the old continental divide on our way to the BC interior. We saw -40 a few times prior to that in the chilly praries and then again in BC. At those temps, you drain your oil and sleep with it. Oh, and when your at work and your snowmachine breaks down, you start walking or die (from experience) :)

Duuuuuuuude. Ya you are around here too little lately. I am putting the M30 and 5-spd and 3.73LS diff from my gone-but-not-forgotton 535 in to it over the holidaze!!! I have Ben T ready to help me with the wiring.....doing all other tasks at Dave R's place.

I've already put the E31 turbines with Nokian WRs, Sachs kit, 850/540 brakes, and RD bars from the 535 on it :D

It's a little shabby....173k miles engine and tranny are beat up....which made it the perfect candidate for my project!

Nothing a little TLC and a few bucks can't cure!

I think I hear a challenge...lol

I thought I mentioned at the meet how I was hoping to run across a reasonably priced wagon that needed engine or tranny work and was discounted accordingly......this one needed both!!!! and the price was right!

The engine runs rough and the tranny is a rebuild with a GM case. Anytime I bring the RPM over 3k, the tranny spits out TRANS CODE. I've been commuting to and from the train station and running it around town since it showed up. Been kicking the tranny into M so I can control the shift before 3k rpm......it's really getting beat lol. The tranny is missing the rear output shaft bearing and seal....it vibrates like a.....well....you get the idea.

I should have it done by the 2nd week of Jan.

It might be almost as quick as 'Thor'.

I think I hear a challenge...lolThat’s cause you do.

I’m surprised we never have gone up to GreatLakesDrag, with all you’se livin up nort.
When it opens back up. K. Ed will bring up his clan, Brandon & Steph, Dave maybe. Those not racing will drink. I’ll race then drink. They have beerish things, i think you can bring yer own too.

We’ll run the battle of the wagons, best 2/3. *smirk*
Mind you ‘Thor’ responds well to brake torquing the tranny. Chirps 1-2..................in the dry.
Honestly i wonder how it would compare to a S50 in that chassis. I am very curious about yer project.

Still, someting must happen in between now and then, i’ll be in touch.

Funny: Kelly remembers the vagon, all i remember is you saying something ‘bout playin hockey. lol

I have Hakkas too but am looking at the new ones this year. What is your review of the ones you have?

I'll have to double check my sidewalls, I just looked up P6000s on Tire Rack and it listed them as summer tires. Judging by how horrible they were in the snow Wednesday though, I don't doubt it. We only had 2 inches, and it was scary driving my 540.

Nokian NRW 225/55HR16 on E38 (style 15 IIRC). They were really good when new on '01, but now with ~50% tread they are a bit iffy, not too confindence inspiring on ice. Going to try some WRs next time or Michelin PA2... Something intended for ice use rather than snow since the majority of the winter ice is the problem here. We don't see deep snow very often (dry praries).
