I am a fan of 19's, in fact I will be getting a set come spring time. Looks good, can't wait for some more pictures. How do they ride so far?

lets not get into that!!!!!.......lol.....nah its not that bad....since the car itself is built so well...no rattles or sqweeks....but not anywhere near like people were making it out to be....(in my opinion)....slap those on a ford or a chevy with few years on it.....then it might be agravating,,,,lol

feels like a sports car now...(feels like stiff suspension)
but the handling makes up for it,at highway speeds the steering gets touchy compared to they way it was with stock 15's

Sorry, but I think they're too big. Like the style though. How heavy are they?

drmmaster

around 28 lbs....or less....i belive was the shipping weight.....

some people are obviously not going to like the 19's. i guess it boils down to, if you like em, then keep them. however it's always nice to have other opinions. i'm glad theyre not chrome and don't keep spinning when you're not moving

no,...there will be none of that mess on my car!.....no worries there.....lol

Wow, and I thought mine were too big.

They don't look bad, but I think you need a big drop to compensate. Weights arnt bad for their size either. I believe mine were 24-26lbs a peice.

do not take it personal. Remember, you opened yourself up to it and asked a question, but its your car and you don't need any approval. Those are just opinions. Some here have this certain ideal of what a bmw should or shouldn't look like and others jump on that bandwagon.
I do not know any of these guys personally so what they think doesn't matter
and there for I do not ask (those how do you like it) questions, I do what I want.

Don't worry about Jeff (632 Regal).
He's only a part time crossdresser!
And I know he won't take that personally! :)

As far as wheels are concerned generally (don't take this personally) I think 17's are large enough myself. I looked at getting 18's at one stage but opted for some genuine M-System II (T-Stars) which are light (under 20lbs) strong (forged) and will obviously ride better than 18's or 19's. AND the tyres are much better priced. Still if you are happy with yours that's fine!

Just a word of warning if Jeff's somewhat 'tongue in cheek' comment is enough to make you abandon the best E34 forum on the net. I think you may be in for a nasty suprise if you are that senstive about others comments. Believe me this forum is actually very tolerant and easy going compared to many others out there!

They look pretty good. Of course we'll need some pictures where the car isn't shining brighter than the sun itself...but from the looks of it you need a minor drop and it'll be exactly the look you're going for.

dude don't worry about it.. on most forums there seems to be an inverse relationship between the amount of mods a person has and how critical they are of others' cars.. in any case regal is a cool guy and he knows a shitload and will help when he can (from what i've seen)

car looks great.. a 2 inch drop would make it look perfect :)

Just my 2 cents.........
That is what happens when you ask a question like that, especially when you added honestly at the end. The main thing is that YOU like the way this looks because you are driving it everyday. I think it looks pretty good, though it probably does need to be lowered a little bit.

All the comments are great and taken the right way, we are all individuals and our cars reflect our individuality and they all look fantastic

...

They are Racing Dynamics RD2's 18x8.5 with 235/40/18's front and 18x9.5 265/35/18 in the rear. Thanks for the compliments.

you can find more pictures on the forum, search for a title called "new shoes"

Twenty-eight pounds is an awful lot of unsprung weight. But who cares, so long as you look mahvelous. And who am I (http://www.bimmer.info/forum/showthread.php?p=76003#poststop) to talk about wheels anyway?

Ask an honest question, get an honest answer..........

If you asked this question on bimmerforums, rollerskates would be a compliment compared to some of the crap you would catch.

I think the 19's look amazing, 20's would look to big.

I just switched from 18's to 17's to save my teeth and kidneys. But if they ever repave where I live, then maybe I will go back up to 18's or even 19's.

The sky is blue.;)

They're OE style 8s from a 840 sans center caps, I'm told they are made by BBS. Yes, they are chrome, unfortunately. Hopefully over Christmas they will become Wurth silver.
