I have a 1/24, several 1/43 and 1/87 scale e34 bmws and four 1/64 scale matchbox e34 bmws. Also, I have several models of e12, e28, e39 and e60 five series (sedans and tourings). Just fun to collect. Still missing a few .

which ones do you have russell? i brought that same black matchbox on ebay about a year ago still perfect in package, they were limited to like 25,000 worldwide or something. i have a few of the fujimy (sp?) kit ones i think the m5, the hartge and the ACS. trying to start a collection too. too bad noone ever made a metal 1:18 scale e34. or atleast i don't think anyone made one. i cant find one anywhere and no one ive talked to ever seen one.

You might do a web search. There are several sources for bmw models. I think one is Michael Leinhart(spelling) . Of course e-bay is a good source. I have purchased several there with no problems.

By the way, there are two versions of the matchbox e34 cars. One rather plain and the other a premier (sp). It had better wheels and trim painted. It was black. I think there was a red premier version as well that was sold in europe.

did the picture get reversed?

I have the same Matchbox car, but mine is left-hand drive. Also, I have different wheels on mine - it has wire wheels.

I bought mine on eBay a few years ago. I wanted to get a 1991, like my black one, but all I could find was this 1989. Fortunately, only the doors open, and not the hood. Therefore, nobody can tell that it has the M20 engine and not the M50 like my car. :-)

That's the 535i one, right? Fujima also made a Hartge e34 model too, plus a lot of other rare(r) cars. The quality definately isn't as good as the ones that Testors relabels, or the Tamiya kits, but it's still very good.

I must be dyslexic!

However, mine does have wire wheels and all of the lights, including the side marker lights, are painted. It also has a blue Euro license plate on the front and back with numbers. Also, the roundels on the hood and trunk are painted.

My wife just got a new digital camera and I haven't used it yet. However, she says it is very easy to figure out.
