I've driven in the rain and its silly,

let's not get confused. my 850 is putting down 350 hp and 450lbs of torque and driving in the rain is fine.. tires are the issue; not the power.

but yea.. snow is a waste unless you have the proper rubber

spike it up. or park it.

I got about three inches of snow on friday night (luckily) that is still hanging around. My mom says i need to find snow tires, im not sure how hard it is to find used snow tires and wheels for this car or how new tires and wheels would compare in price.

Wouldn't despair, Look for e39 wheels. I found a pristine set of Borbets with fairly new Michelin Artic Alpins for $750 on Roadfly. Looked at a new set on Tirerack.com and they weren't all that much more. Also, sets are usually available on Ebay for $400-$600 sometimes..perhaps less. I found it easy to fit my e34 as long as I was willing to get the hubcentric rings, think the were $16 on Ebay and work perfectly.
