Greetings!

The wipers in my '95 525it recently decided to stop working except for high speed (which I understand operates on a seperate fuse). A check of the fuses revealed that #24 was blown. I replaced the fuse, turned the ignition to accessory, and the wipers (all functions/speeds) worked fine. The next time I drove the car, the wipers again did not work. Fuse #24 was again blown. Changed the fuse and once again they work with the ignition on accessory.

Obviously, the wiper motor is OK. I would also think that the relay is OK, but.... What can be changing when I start the car that affects the wipers? Does this have something to do with voltage variation? Maybe a grounding issue? The battery? I'm stumped! Wish this car was as simple to diagnose as my 2002.

Any and all help or suggestions are appreciated.

unplugging it to see if fuse stop blowing?

Otherwise, fear General Module is in trouble. Guess wipers is the only function you loose, isn't it?

I didn't mention it in my first post, but my washer pump failed some time back. Planned to replace it when ordering some other supplies in the near future. Hadn't considered that the washer pump might be blowing fuses. Maybe I tried the washers after replacing the fuse the first time which then blew the second the fuse.

Thanks for the suggestion. Once I have some more spare fuses, I'll see if that is what is happening.
