As I recall, in order to reset this, I need to disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes correct?

I remember Shogun's instructions was to disconnect the battery. Turn the ignition switch to position 2 and then touch the negative and positive cables together for about 10 minutes.

I connected it for a bit shorter, and then reconnected the cables, the alarm sounded for 15 seconds and obc started to count down from 15min...

Hehe, im back... got busy and started to run errands... left battery disconnected for 5-10 minutes... after connecting, the OBC counted down from 15 minutes, and it was ready to start again!
