idle valve type

Hi
I am in the pocess if getting the idle sorted out on my Haltech engine management system. I was looking for a 2 wire idle air valve and was trying to find out if the stock E34 valve was a 2 wire or 3 wire valve?

On my 88 535 the idle valve is a 3 wire.

3 wire on everything after ~ 87 or 88 (in the US, at least).

Last two wire one I saw was on an '82 or 3 528e.
