Since insurance will replace one side, I think I'm gonna go smiley.

Go with the Hellas.

If it were me, I'd go with the angel eyes as well... but unfortunately the quality doesn't seem to be there.

Depo are questionable quality to say the least.

Are you happy with them, any likes, dislikes?

Hella, Hella, Hella. If the Depo headlights are anything like their tailights, don't waste you money. I have the Euro Hellas purchased from a fella in Austria. With some Plus 50 H1 bulbs purchased from Daniel Stern, made a big difference in lighting. You will have to splice in some different connectors that all can be sourced from the stealer.
Good Luck and I hope Spidey apprehended the perp.

on bimmerforums, a couple people compained about the the lens cracking around where it's attached to the light. always thought that depo's were decent, but after hearing that, i'd go for the hella's since you have a chance to.

I snoozed and lost out on the euro hellas.

Can E30 smiley's fit E34's?

Are bosch smileys Hella? Couldn't see from a pic listed

thanks in advance

bumpers are painted, picking up headlight washer tank and pump and nozzle for front bump. New M5 tow hitch cover is in.

Just waiting on new hood and qp to arrive and the tourer goes in. Bought a qp with the side repeater in it, so I am going to have rub strip sidemarkers and qp sidemarkers that blink....fer sure fer sure.

Does BMA sell new rub strips? I am going to buy a new M5 set, and I will have two old sets to pass on if anyone wants them. When the boxes come I will ship out the old strips to whoever wants them for just S&H

funny - but not... i just came across your post and realized that i bought the hellas that you were looking at. i clicked your link and the first line on the auction page says "you've paid for this item through paypal". it confused me for a minute. anyway - without question you want a set of hellas rather than anything aftermarket. the 3 series lights WILL NOT fit, bosch and hella are different, but essentially equal (both OEM suppliers), and i think that you'll find that the lights for the 5/7 series will all be hella rather than bosch, but i could be wrong about that. the 7 series lights WILL fit your car, and there's a set to be had HERE:

the 7 series turn signals are different, but the smileys will work just fine.

other than that - good luck, and off topic - you have my respect for sporting the wagon... we have an A6 avant, and i have almost as much fun making it "cool" as i do playing with the 540i. take care. rob.

Neither, Hella/Bosch are the only options.
